Connect Google or iCloud Calendar
Link your Google or iCloud calendar so job install and removal dates sync automatically.
Why connect a calendar?
When you connect a Google or iCloud calendar to Cura, your jobs are synced to that calendar. Install and removal dates appear as events so you can see them in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, or any app that uses your account. No need to re-enter dates—Cura keeps the calendar in sync with your job schedule.
How to connect your calendar
- Open Settings from the sidebar or your profile menu.
- Go to Integrations.
- Under Calendar, choose Google or iCloud.
- Click Connect.
- Sign in with your Google or Apple ID if prompted and approve access for Cura to manage calendar events.
- You’ll be returned to Integrations; the calendar will show as Connected with the email for that account.
You can connect one Google calendar and one iCloud calendar per company. To use a different account, disconnect the current one first, then connect the other.
How job sync works
Cura syncs jobs to your calendar; it does not import events from your calendar into Cura.
What gets synced
- Install event — Created from the job’s start date (and optional start time). The event title is the job title plus “– Install.” If you don’t set a time, the event defaults to 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
- Removal event — If the job has an end date, a second event is created for removal. The title is the job title plus “– Removal.”
Each event includes:
- Location — The job’s address (if set).
- Description — A short label (Install or Removal), the address, any job notes, and a link back to the job in Cura.
Events are marked as busy so they show correctly in your calendar app.
When sync happens
- When you first connect — All existing jobs that have a start date are synced to your primary calendar. This runs in the background; you don’t have to wait.
- When you create or update a job — If you add or change start/end dates (or times, address, notes, title), Cura updates the corresponding calendar events for every connected calendar.
- When you disconnect — All events that Cura created for that calendar are removed. Your other calendar events are unchanged.
Only jobs with a start date are synced. Jobs without a start date are skipped.
Choosing which calendar receives events
Events are created on your primary (default) calendar for the connected account. To have events on a different calendar (e.g. a work calendar), set that calendar as the default in Google Calendar or iCloud Calendar for that account; then disconnect and reconnect in Cura so the connection uses the new default.
Disconnecting your calendar
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Find the calendar (Google or iCloud) and click Disconnect.
- Confirm. All job-derived events for that calendar will be deleted; the connection is removed.
Your jobs in Cura are not affected. Only the calendar events created by Cura are removed.
